Lichen Planus is a disease characterized by purple coloured lesions or bumps on the lower back, wrists, and lower legs. Lichen Planus is an autoimmune disorder triggered by the immune system. Triggering factor of Lichen Planus may be any viral infection, allergens or genetics. Symptoms of Lichen Planus includes Purplish, flat bumps, inner forearm, wrist or ankle, and sometimes the genitals, itching, lacy white patches in the mouth or on the lips or tongue, painful sores in the mouth or vagina, hair loss, change in scalp colour.
