Ichthyosis
Ichthyosis is a group of skin disorders characterized by dry, scaly or thickened skin. Skin look like fish scales. In this condition skin lose the protective barrier that keeps moisture in the skin. They also make new cells to quickly or shed old cells too slowly. This leads to a formation of thick scaly skin. Symptoms of Ichthyosis are dry, itchy skin, thick, rough skin that looks dirty, on the palms and soles of the feet, brown scales on the front of the legs, back of the arms, scalp, back or stomach, extra lines on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.
